For All You Pasta Lovers

Something I have thrown together recently and wanted to share with you all is my new favorite go-to lunch. Super easy and tasty. I have used spaghetti squash in the past to make pasta dishes (good way to get those veggies in!!) but the new game changer is Garlic Herb Cream Cheese which gives it a super creamy texture and makes it taste absolutely awesome! If you have never had spaghetti squash, it is basically like a noodle with a little bit crunchier texture.

For this recipe, I just cooked up the squash. (Cut in half, scoop out seeds and cooked In microwave for convenience- but can also be cooked in the oven. Don’t overcook or else it will turn out too mushy and not noodle-y consistency!!) then once done I added in pasta sauce, ground turkey, turkey pepperoni, laughing cow garlic herb cream cheese, cottage cheese, and can add in 1/4c. fat free cheese but I didn’t for this serving. The exact measurements and macros I used are below (I use My Net Diary -pictured below- to track macros if you’re interested- WAY better than My Fitness Pal in my opinion) and it turned out really tasty and is a great low carb, high protein and low-ish fat lunch. (depending on if you use chicken or a different meat) I also seasoned mine with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Love macro friendly meals! 🙂

I used some odd amounts of the cottage cheese and squash because it was all I had left. But since I weigh my food it doesn’t really make a difference the amount I weigh out. You could round the cottage cheese up to 1/4 cup, and the great value pasta sauce to 1/4 cup. Obviously as you change the amounts and/or use different brands, the macros and calories will change as well. 😊 let me know if you try it and what you think. Could also omit the red sauce and make it more like a chicken fettuccine dish and top with a little parm! 👍
