The Pursuit of Authenticity by Courtney Bishop

Cinnamon Sugar Protein Donuts

Fall is officially here and that means a trip to the apple orchard & cider mill is in order. Everyone knows the best part of going to the cider mill is the donuts!

While tasty, they are not the healthiest.

Health is all about balance. Balance includes eating 𝐭𝐡𝐞 “𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥” 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 donuts every so often. Listen to your body and do so with a positive outlook. ⁣It also includes making modifications to the “real” versions to honor cravings.

While a diet should include 𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, strive for balance to avoid over-indulging in high sugar & high-fat foods. This can cause feelings of guilt & shame.⁣

This cinnamon sugar donut recipe has been *healthified* to maintain balance and avoid over-indulgence.
